Acid-Base Balance

Maintaining the body of a slightly healthy blood and tissue pH range that is slightly basic (pH between 7.35 – 7.45). This balance is achieved through the use of systems in the blood (which help minimize pH changes) and in the lungs and kidneys, which remove excess acids or bases from the body.
